The VA Western New York Healthcare System at Buffalo is seeking an Anesthesiologist (Cardiac) to join our team and provide cardiac anesthetic care to patients Duties included but not limited to:
Preoperative assessments Intraoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring Post-anesthesia care Participating in the development and implementation of program planning, objectives, policies and standards essential to delivery of quality anesthetic care Provide direction and clinical oversight related to the medical practice of CRNA's. United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education:
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. - For foreign medical graduates not covered in above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate, if claimed by the applicant. Licensure:
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Residency:
Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. OR Non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United States, which the local Medical Staff Executive Committee deems to have provided the applicant with appropriate professional training and believes has exposed the physician to an appropriate range of patient care experiences English Language Proficiency:
Proficient in spoken and written English. Physical requirements outlined below. Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Anesthesiology Fellowship trained in Cardiac Anesthesiology BC/BE in Anesthesiology BC/BE in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office Physical Requirements:
The physician should be physically and mentally capable to perform the duties of the position including examinations, formulate the diagnosis and treatment plan and educate residents. Physical activities include sitting, standing (up to 4 hours) walking (up to 2 hours), heavy lifting (45 pounds or over), reaching above the shoulder, and repeated bending. The incumbent should be emotionally and mentally stable; and capable to perform the duties of the position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
