Job Description:
Experienced Computer Validation Engineer is required having responsible for understanding and maintaining all automation, process-control computer systems and GMP software applications.
Responsibility:
Creates, revises, and updates control system SOPs in support of protocols, computer system changes, and departmental operations.
Executes and supports the execution of qualification protocols in compliance with the companys Good Documentation Practices.
Ensures that backup and archive copies of computer programs are maintained in secure storage for all validated systems, according to standard operating procedures.
Evaluates the quality of vendors and software products through standard auditing procedures.
Prepares and supports the preparation of protocols to qualify the installation and operation of computer systems used for manufacturing process control, supervision, and data acquisition, as directed by Validation Management.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networks, security and administration practices, programmable logic controllers, and Rockwell programming software packages is needed to excel in this position.
Must be familiar with regulated industry, experienced with machine design and equipment design and software controls/automation, as well as specifying and installing manufacturing equipment.
Must possess a thorough understanding of plant mechanical and electrical systems, as well as equipment automation and control utilizing custom and off-the-shelf software packages.
The ability to read construction and process drawings.
