Plant Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
Leads, directs and coordinates the operation's activities of production departments and facility maintenance in processing materials to produce oxygen concentrators at the Buffalo facility.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SCOPE:
o Responsible for Process improvements, utilizing Lean manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, 6S, etc.
o Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
o Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
o Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
o Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
o Develops or revises standard quality, operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
o Observes workers and other supervisors to ensure that company safety practices and procedures and applicable OSHA regulations are being followed.
o Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
o Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; five to eight years related experience.
o Familiar with Lean Techniques, Kaizen, Kan ban and 5S.
o Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
o Ability to effectively present information and respond to managers, clients, and customers.
o Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
