Roasting Machine Operator
Cheektowaga nut roasting company is seeking qualified associates to work as a Machine Operator in a nut roasting facility. The applicant will oil cooking or dry roasting assorted nuts and assisting production in other capacities. Ideally seeking candidates with a production or manufacturing background in a food related industry. This is a trainable position for someone with a production or manufacturing background and who is eager to learn and motivated to work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: include the following;
o Prepares roaster for operation by setting temperature and speed.
o Adjust roaster bed to appropriate depth.
o Fill roaster with oil and adjust spicer.
o Prepare peanuts in Hopper.
o Fills hoppers with product.
o Monitor and check processes at variable times to ensure quality standards of roasting are being met.
o Directs general laborers with their tasks
o Gives operational support to co-workers in the same work area
o Accurately completes all forms pertaining to inventory control
Qualifications:
Seeking candidates who are motivated, flexible, with an excellent attitude.
Must be computer literate
Must be flexible to assist in other areas of the facility. Since this will start as a small company candidates must have the willingness and ambition to assist in all areas.
This is a fist shift position 7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri.
$10/hr
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
