Payments Processing Analyst

Description:
The payments processing role is responsible for recording, tracking, reconciling and executing all departmental payments and ensures accuracy of payments and strict compliance with all department and regulatory processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
o Processing invoices for payment and setting up purchase orders, including managing purchase order credit cards, wire transfers and check issuance.
o Reconcile invoice payments and follow up on purchase orders.
o Identify and track down payment discrepancies and see dispute resolution thru to successful completion.
o Become familiar with and adept at using internal P2P, GCMS and ARS payment systems.
o Develop strong knowledge of and familiarity with multiple cost center and cost codes.
o Preparing and reviewing event close-out and audit files (compile required event documentation).
o Liaison with department staff, business partners, payments processing teams, event vendors, and internal suppliers.
o Prepare and process payments and departmental documentation.
o Become familiar with corporate and departmental policies and procedures:
CEMP, CSS, Accounts Payable, etc.
o Become familiar with internal data and event management software.
o Generate and distribute regular (monthly and weekly) tracking and financial management reports o Understand and act on compliance requirements.
o Prepare and execute payment allocations, journal entries and payment reclassifications.
o Data entry and database maintenance (Excel and third party platforms).
o Participate in ad hoc and special projects on an 'as needed' basisQualificationso 2 years accounting, bookkeeping, bill paying.
o Excellent MS Excel skills required including formulas and macros.
o Familiarity with invoice payment and financial tracking systems required.
o Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
o Good communications skills and aptitude for dispute resolution.
o Experience with corporate billing and financial systems.
o Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
o Strong client focus and ability to step outside regular job functions and comfort zone to assist the global team.
Financial services or hospitality industry experience preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
Hours 8:
30 to 5:
30 PM, Mon - Fri.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
