Trailer Mechanic
Job Description:
Sonwil Transportation is hiring Trailer Mechanics in the Buffalo, NY area with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, including the ability to inspect, repair, and maintain the components and systems of semi-trailers. Mechanics will ideally possess a CDL License, have extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Mechanic Job Details:
$55,000 - $60,000 Per Year
Monday Friday
7am 3pm
Some Possible Emergency Situations Outside of this Time Frame
Mobile Job Mechanic Will Work in Several Locations in the Buffalo Area Out of Our Company Utility Truck

Semi-Trailer Mechanic Job
Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-trailer bodies, systems, and components.
Perform preventative maintenance measures on semi-trailers.
Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required.
Inspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts.
Checking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems.
Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues.
Ensuring that trailers meet the U.S. DOT road safety requirements.
Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management.
Order and maintain parts inventory.
Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance/repair.
Knowledge of vehicle systems, such as hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems.
Valid driver s license, CDL preferred.
Own some hand tools.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to fulfill physical requirements. (lift/move up to 50lbs.)
Ability to multi-task.
Self-motivation.
