Responsible for management of over 8 employees, working dashift.
Management of the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of metal bar and tube raw materials by directing receiving, warehousing, distribution services and value-added services.
Responsible for meeting established performance standards, profitability objectives, Quality Management initiatives (AS-9100-D) and adherence to safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have an ?above and beyond attitude along with the ability to initiate and work within own schedule and to determine priorities.
Ability to exercise good judgment and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines.
This exempt position offers competentive base salary of (governmental minimum exempt salary up to $80,000/year) plus monthly and quarterly performance-based incentive programs.
Generous benefits including medical and dental effective first of the month following date of hire and use of company vehicle for travel between sites.
Responsibilities:
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Safeguards warehouse and machine operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Oversees building facilities and grounds.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse, equipment and vehicles by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Oversees work environment to maintain a neat, clean, and safe work environment.
Negotiating with vendors as necessary to meet warehouse and financial requirements.
Continual effective communication with all internal and external clients.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort as needed or requested to meet department and or business objectives.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Regular and reliable on-site attendance is a condition of employment.
