is seeking a Software Quality Engineer 3, in Buffalo, NY.Seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer join our Quality Assurance team of qualified, diverse individuals located at our Buffalo, NY campus
Telecommuting/remote work is not an option for this position
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80, to allow employees every other Friday off
Future business needs may require a more traditional 5/40 work schedule to provide availability for demand.
Job
Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.Ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with standards, objectives, and/or contract requirements via inspection, reviews, and audits.Develop overall operating measures and criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to standards, objectives, and/or contract requirements.Ensure measures meet acceptable performance standards/targets/goals.Contribute to software development and maintenance processes and methods utilized by Software Engineering, ensuring compliance with requirements, objectives and/or contract requirements.Review software engineering work products (e.g., design, change specifications, and plans) against contractual and/or process requirements.Perform or direct verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, another STEM degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of software experience or 3 years with a Master's degree or 0 years with a PhD in one of the above disciplines.Understanding of software engineering principles, practices, and theories.Experience in operating in a Quality Management System (QMS).Strong analytical skill with an understanding of basic problem solving.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Dedicated to teamwork and able to work well in a team environment.Works well under pressure and adapt well to unplanned tasks
Proficiency in MS Office Applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.US Citizenship required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience coding in Ada, C, C , and/or Python.Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools such as DOORs, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.Experience with ISO and AS9100 standards requirements.Knowledge and/or experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action tools.Ability and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.Knowledge of waterfall and/or Agile life-cycles.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
