Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs that meet the needs of the company's regional construction sites.
2. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
4. Provide training and coaching to site management and workers on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the correct use of safety equipment.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends, standards, and laws related to construction safety.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely reporting of incidents and compliance with all reporting requirements.
7. Regularly review and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
8. Promote a positive safety culture within the organization through effective communication and leadership.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar certification is highly desirable.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
5. Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and conducting site audits and risk assessments.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret safety data and identify trends.
8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various regional construction sites.
10. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
