Summary:
Responsible for assigned clerical and nutrition assistant duties.
Determine program eligibility of participants following the policies and procedures of the NYSDOH WIC Program Manual.
Works at all sites, as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Follows WIC Remote Work Guidelines.
Provide clinic and office support to the Nutrition Staff.
Assist participant with WIC Health on line nutrition education.
Provide Participant Centered Nutrition Services (PCNS) by phone or in person.
Set the tone for excellent customer service to participants as they enter the clinic.
Orient/educate participants to the WIC program.
Make appointment reminder and no-show calls.
Participate in National Voter Registration Activities.
Collect information for the nutrition assessment process, including income eligibility, review of WIC Medical Referral Form and other documents.
Obtain anthropometric (heights and weights) and hematological (bloodless iron level), as trained.
Maintain quality control logs.
Participate in breastfeeding promotion and support.
Provide and document referrals to health and social services other community partners.
Identify and refer participants to a Nutrition Staff.
Assist Nutrition Staff in implementing participant-centered nutrition education.
Attends staff meetings, Catholic Charities, NYWIC, and NYSDOH trainings.
Achieves proficiency in NYWIC computer system.
Assist Customer Service Representatives with phone duties as needed.
Comply with the Agency's Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, laws, regulations, and ethical standards applicable to your position in the WIC program and Catholic Charities.
Travels to all sites, transports laptops, computers and other equipment to sites.
May have to lift up to 30lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinator, Lead QN and WIC Program Coordinator EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience:
Basic Computer Skills.
One year of experience working with children preferred.
Must have reliable transportation, with ability to travel to WIC clinics, trainings and meeting locations (sometimes in the middle of the workday).
Must provide internet if working remote.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
