You will be working alongside the production and engineering teams to drive rapid improvements and sustainability of the line.
What You'll Do:
First point of contact for Quality issues within the scope of Incoming Quality Control, coordinating and delegating activities of the Incoming Quality Technicians and associates Lead group discussions, providing support and guidance to Incoming Quality Technicians while giving visibility to Process, Production, and Manufacturing Engineers.
Work closely with manufacturing, process teams, and suppliers to establish processes and procedures to ensure consistently high quality.
Ensure Quality Technicians are maintaining, updating, and validating product and quality plans and control plans Lead root cause analysis to identify issues/solutions to increase and maintain quality metrics and performances.
Train Incoming Quality Technicians and associates on Quality Instructions, tools, and systems for the area.
Train/coach on how to root cause issues/problems and best practices of corrective action implementation and countermeasures (3D, 8D, Issue Tracker).
Work with Quality Supervisor and Engineers to review IQC data to drive corrective action with cross-functional teams Serve as the on-shift subject matter expert (SME) for process and product specifications that define quality in assigned areas.
Revise Quality Key Points (QKP) documents, Quality Instructions, implement, revise, and analyze data collection spreadsheets, and maintain Quality Technician Standard Work documents at the direction of the Quality Engineer Audit Quality Technician standard work and audit adherence.
Send daily external pass down reports to all area stakeholders.
Assist Quality Engineers in management of Jira tickets to resolution.
Assist in the identification and resolution of incoming quality issues, contain parts or products as needed, sort parts for quality requirements Analyze and interpret high failure product data independently, effectively escalating/root causing fall-out alongside line Quality Technicians.
Direct potential problem preventative action on quality defects based on increased data metric fall-out rates and failed lineside products.
Lead containment processes and follow up active containments Other duties as assigned by Manager What You'll Bring:
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience with quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experienced in QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA preferred Strong aptitude with electronic test and measurement systems.
Proficiency at reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams with general knowledge of GD&T engineering drawings Experience in using advanced measuring equipment (CMM, tensile pull testing, precision gauges etc.
) Ability to lift to 50 lbs as needed (part sorting, material moving, etc).
Ability to effectively communicate common issues and defects to leadership and management assisting with solutions.
Ability to manage and give direction in critical situations while keeping composure.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment providing line leadership and guidance Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
Ability to use technology tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data.
Ability to operate relevant personal computing hardware and standard software.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, TPS, TQM, etc highly desired Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Job Type:
