We are typically in the office Tue-Thu and work from home M&F.
HealthSource Marketing (HSM) represents manufacturers of consumer health products to various retailers and wholesalers nationally.
We are a small team of 6 dedicated professionals and are looking to add a similarly minded person to join us.
The National Account Manager (NAM) has operational responsibility for managing and growing assigned clients business within the assigned territory.
The NAM will utilize all resources available to them including HSM and client support staff and managers while executing their primary focus.
The NAM is a key leader at HSM and is required to project a professional image on behalf of the company and its clients at all times.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities Manage existing relationships and business with existing account base Grow sales at existing accounts by generating new product placements and helping increase repeat business.
Open new accounts and develop new prospects Develop and maintain an expert level of understanding of our client's product lines as well as sales and profit expectations Achieve expectations at the lowest possible selling cost to client (as well as HSM) while maximizing company revenue.
Execute timely promotions that will deliver clients sales and account profitability goals.
Regularly contact and/or visit all customers in the territory to better assess needs Cultivate relationships with clients, customers, prospects, local brokers within the territory, competitors and peers.
Network with the industry community to increase opportunities, find mentors, new idea generation, lead generation, etc.
Where appropriate, recruit and manage local sales brokers at accounts to help facilitate sales goals.
Follow up sales calls and sales opportunities via phone, email, and regular mail.
Responsible for all customer communications, sales coordination related to getting accounts set up, promotional activity, artwork coordination, etc.
Work with HSM and customer support staffs to provide them the information needed to execute customer needs.
Take advantage of HSM and client leadership to help achieve goals.
Ensure that customer and client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner and informing the Director of Sales of any problems that may arise.
Provide timely information related to competition, customers and overall market conditions.
Maintain accurate database related to account contacts, pricing, product specs, etc (Customer Library, ACT).
Continuous efforts to improve knowledge of the industry, products, customers, prospects, competition and clients.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment Records activities and uses contact management software to track history and schedule forward actions Responsible for suggesting methods to improve sales, sales processes or sales efficiency.
Ensure all client and customer procedures are followed.
Skills & Attributes Leadership, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required.
Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation and sales skills.
Ability to work well in a non structured environment Proven sales/account management experience Proficiency in Word, Excel, and contact management software.
Experience Some college experience, preferably a college degree.

Preferably at the headquarter level selling to food, drug and mass retailers and wholesalers/distributors.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated creative problem solving.
Previous business travel experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
