DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES Perform functions to guide and maintain the organization's Human Resources (HR) initiatives and processes including employee relations, leave management, coaching, performance management, payroll, recruitment, and change management.
Consult with leaders to implement key initiatives across the organization.
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the HR programs, to align with the overall organization's HR initiatives.
Responsible for employee relations across the organization.
Conduct employee relation investigations and partner with management on appropriate resolution.
Monitor in partnership with management the counseling, coaching, and performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
Oversee voluntary and involuntary termination procedures and document actions appropriately.
Build effective teams through coaching and development of employees, provide candid and constructive feedback, while adhering to our values and encourage diversity.
Manage the administration of healthcare benefits, workers compensation, unemployment, vacation, leave and leaves of absence according to Company policy and in compliance with FMLA, PFL, and all federal, state, local leave laws.
Ensure the organization is in compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Identify training opportunities for leadership teams and implement training.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure that payroll data is compiled and entered securely, accurately, and timely; including new hire information, salary changes, benefit contributions, garnishments, bonuses, etc.
Serve as a steward to lead, communicate, and / or facilitate - in partnership with leadership - the core values of Parkview Health Services.
Keep leadership and teams informed of changes in HR matters through clear, concise, and timely communications.
Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent HR information in accordance with HIPAA, and other federal and state privacy laws, as well as our established HR and Company policies governing confidential information.
Represent HR for organization and participate in meetings as directed.
Make written and oral recommendations to leadership concerning terminations, staffing needs, improvement areas, development opportunity, etc.

Oversee and participate in recruitment efforts by means of screen, recommend hire, assign, and onboard employees, as required.
Interview, select, train, and onboard department team members.
Provide direction and mentoring, develop, and communicate performance metrics and execute performance reviews for team and any other direct reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:

Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, recruiting / interviewing, counseling / coaching, and strong presentation skills.

Excellent conflict management skills and the demonstrated ability to problem solve and effectively diffuse highly charged situations.

EDUCATION/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a similar field suited to strategic human resource program development and implementation or equivalent work experience.
PHR or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in HR with five (5) years of HR leadership - preferably with a multi-location employer.
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with a New York employer with more than 100 employees.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
