Reporting to the Deputy Director of Health, Education, and Research, this position will be responsible for providing clinical support and guidance to the Office of Cannabis Management and key stakeholders. The Pharmacist is expected to be an expert in cannabis pharmacology, drug therapies, and adverse reactions and stay updated on scientific literature and research. The Pharmacist will be responsible for offering guidance and making recommendations for cannabis policies and rules that impacts the health of cannabis consumers and medical cannabis patients. The Pharmacist will also provide outreach and education to the clinical community about cannabis. The Pharmacist will actively engage with the medical cannabis community, offering presentations, developing resources, and communicating directly with key stakeholders. They will serve as the main point of contact for addressing questions and requests for information that is clinical in nature. Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Provide education and outreach to the clinical community and patients on the medical cannabis program. o Assist with inquiries of a clinical nature regarding cannabis, cannabis products, or clinical matters impacting the various programs of the Office. o Manage the practitioner education course program, ensuring requirements, information, and clinical content satisfies regulatory requirements. o Work directly with all OCM units, when consulted, to ensure that cannabis education, outreach, health, and research are considered in all laws, regulations, policies, and guidance and are appropriately drafted, reviewed, disseminated, and enforced. o Remain abreast of federal cannabis activity, scientific literature, and current events and provide program and policy recommendations to senior leadership. o Oversee and manage adverse event reporting for the Office. o Assist with the development of educational materials. o Provide clinical consultation for the development and analysis of any cannabis surveys and surveillance activities. o Lead and attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders. o Other projects as assigned to support the Health and Safety Unit. o Perform full range of supervisory functions.

Salary Range:
From $88161 to $111111 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 25 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
