must be able to work on site in Hornell, NY - no remote work Quality Engineer :
- Supports Production / Manufacturing to ensure Right First Time production, anticipate and remove quality issues.
- Participates in FMECA (Failure mode, effects and criticality analysis) and Design Reviews.
- FAR / FMR / SMR and daily production line Quality meeting.
- Continuous improvements on the production line.
- Participates in the follow up and resolution of NCR's (Non Conformance Report) using problem solving approach(8D, QRQC, etc).
- Participates in Customer Joint Inspections and Problem solving between multiple departments and customer representatives, review past inspection data for critical information, repeat defects or problem areas.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree ( engineering major :
industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, etc) - Strong experience in manufacturing quality / industrial quality, supplier quality assurance / supplier product quality development, Quality Engineering processes & operations, experience with Quality tools and problem-solving tools, Quality standards (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, etc ), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), etc - Previous experience as a quality engineer ( possibly as a supplier quality assurance engineer - SQE, SQAE / supplier product quality development engineer - SPQDE ) - Experience with different methodologies as:
