must be able to work on site in Hornell, NY - no remote work Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - Supplier Product Quality Development Engineer :
- Responsible for NCR (non conformance reporting) management (Non-Conformities Management) and suppliers performance - Responsible for daily monitoring of non conformity matters - Challenge suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan - Audit supplier process to check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan and ensure that plan is being executed - Prepare and monitor supplier quality review at unit level to troubleshoot the top issues - Reports supplier performance and quality metrics to management.
- Manages warranty issues related to suppliers in collaboration with a project warranty manager - Participate in Factory Acceptance Test or First Article Inspection on site ( with vendors / suppliers ) - Invoice the Cost Of Non Quality ( CONQ ) to the suppliers Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree ( engineering major :
industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, etc) - Previous experience as a Quality engineer, Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - SQE, SQAE, Supplier Product Quality Development Engineer - SPQDE - Strong experience in manufacturing quality / industrial quality, supplier quality assurance / supplier product quality development, Quality Engineering processes & operations, experience with Quality tools, and methods ( 8D / QRQC / 5WHYS / Factor Tree Analysis / PDCA, etc.
), Quality standards (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, etc ), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), FAI (first article inspections), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), etc - Experience with different methodologies as:
