Objective:
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the customer service department.
Duties include communicating customer service objectives to Customer Service Representatives and compiling data to make assessments of the department's progress.
Coordinating with upper management to find ways to enhance customer service experience for the customers while ensuring that the customer service activities are adhering to company objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school 5 or more years related experience and/or training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in insides sales is preferred.
Experience/familiarity with EDI transactions is preferred.
Job Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
Detail-oriented.
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work well with tight timelines.
Experience with managing customer price lists within ERP system.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily operations of the customer service department.
Ensure the customer service team is responding to customer inquiries within the company and customer objectives.
Develop procedures for customer service team.
This includes developing work instructions and training entire team on procedures so the team is cross trained and can backup other team members.
Develop department goals based on company's goals as well as customer requirements.
Work with team to make sure goals are being achieved.
Maintain relationship with buyers/schedulers and respond to inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
Manage EDI data and the process for dealing with orders that are outside of standard operations.
Verify customer requirements are being executed timely and accurately within customer portals.
Manage customer pricing within ERP system.
Develop metrics for customer service team and report daily, weekly or monthly.
Hire staff and train staff.
Stay current on the latest industry trends and techniques with a focus on utilizing the ERP system to improve processes and customer experience.
