Youth Care Professional Department:
Residential Treatment Department Gateway Longview's Residential Treatment Services is a therapeutic intervention for youth ages 12-18 and supports them in developing the skills needed to successfully live with their families or in the community.

60 per hour Primary Responsibilities Actively engage with youth in therapeutic and daily activities Council youth in matters of personal conduct, hygiene, appearance, safety, social skills, academics, and decision making Proactively prevent or manage a crisis situation in a therapeutic manner Transport youth to medical appointments, family visits, and community activities Attend required staff, supervisory meetings, and treatment team meetings Fulfill other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Ability to build rapport with youth based on healthy boundaries, effective communication and mutual respect Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, patience, and active listening Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles High School Diploma or GED Current NYS Driver's License Ability to physically restrain if required Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Theology, Social Work Demonstrated experience working with youth in professional or volunteer capacity Pay- $17.
