DIRECT SUPPORT INTERN

DescriptionAssists in the implementation of individual programs.
Provides awake supervision of residents and property during shift hours.
Provides a safe, clean environment for all residents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, coordinates and implements meaningful activities on a daily basis:
areas of daily living and personal care needs as well as person centered activities that promote independence, inclusion, and productivity.
Assists in developing and responsible for implementing person-centered plans.
Perform daily site cleaning, food preparation and laundry as needed.
Complete all tasks necessary to ensure health and safety of each person receiving services Administers medications following proper procedures when certified.
Completes daily documentation and other paperwork promptly and accurately.
Attends/participates in general staff meetings, in-service training and other pertinent agency meetings/trainings.
Work collaboratively with other coworkers.
Flexibility to work assignments as needed at the agency within shift and/or other availability.
Responsible to record time worked at the start and end of each shift and to work the minimum number of accepted hours that you are hired for.
Safely transports people to and from activities, day program, and appointments following proper procedures when approved to drive.
Ensures adequate supplies are available to support persons served needs.
Performs CPR and Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R).
Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 18 years of age.
Ability to read and write.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following:
standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
Ability to lift and transfer individuals as required by prescribed program/plan.
Ability to move, reposition, and place individuals in pieces of equipment.
Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations, including Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) certification as per regulatory guidelines.
Certification in CPR.
Recommended Skills Agility Cpr Crisis Intervention Medical Emergency Occupational Safety And Health Self Motivation Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
