Summary:
In this position, you are responsible for reviewing all statements prior to sending to patients, reviewing self-pay accounts for possible insurance information, review and work eligibility denials for all clients, review accounts for correct no fault and workers compensation carrier information.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Reviewing, printing and mailing all paper claims to insurance carriers Reviewing multiple client databases for insurance eligibility and updates Reviewing and understanding insurance carrier websites to verify patient insurance information Reviewing and understanding patient statements Reviewing and processing medical records requests Reviewing and correcting claims that are rejected due to bad data Reviewing and correcting returned mail due to bad addresses Entering charges that did not come over electronically Answering incoming patient phone calls Prioritizing your workload Understanding and meeting monthly goals set by management Adhering to Policy and Procedures set companywide and interdepartmentally Other duties as assigned by management Necessary Skills:
Knowledge of Excel Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and employees Must be well organized and detail oriented.
Must be able to multi-task Physical and Mental Requirements:
May be asked to lift up to 25 pounds Standing, walking, sitting, keyboard use for long periods of time Ability to listen and communicate with patients face to face or over the phone Will be required to read, write, work in a fast-paced office setting Ability to make decisions and think quickly Must have mental and physical capabilities to perform all tasks listed above
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
