Summary:
Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating formal and informal educational activities to meet the needs of a select patient population.
Acts as a clinical resource specialist for professional staff.
Facilitates the education process as patients transition across the continuum of care.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Current New York State RN License
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
MS in nursing or education preferred
Certification in specific area of expertise required (In lieu of certification, current enrollment in a certification program and completion within 2 years will be accepted)EXPERIENCE
Three (3) to five (5) years recent experience in specialty area
Three (3) to five (5) years teaching experienceKNOWLEDGE,SKILL AND ABILITY
Strong Microsoft Office skill set
Strong verbal and written communication skillsWORKING CONDITIONS
Travel between facilities required
Occasional weekend and evening assignments
