Electrical Engineer
Job DescriptionThis non-union automotive tier 1 supplier located in the north end of Buffalo is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Department.
This person will be responsible for electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic production equipment operating as well as updating, troubleshooting control systems.
Other functions are stated below:
n- Create proper troubleshooting instructions for repair and maintenance of all electrical systems and control systems.
n- Select, edit, modify, or create machine-assisted software to improve performance, speed, or safety related issues with all manufacturing equipment or plant systems.
n- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
n- Maintain electrical fire system, burglar system, building controls, and equipment drawings as needed.
n- Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
n- Oversee projects are completed successfully, on time and within budget.
n- Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and controls n- Investigate customer or manufacturing complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend preventative/corrective actions.
n- Plan the layout of electrical power, installation guide-lines, and labeling requirements.
nThis is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:
00 a.
m.
to 4 p.
m.
This position regularly requires after hours and weekend work when necessary.
nRequired Education and ExperiencenNO SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS POSITIONn o Associate's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineeringn o 4 years experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix programming and troubleshooting.
n o Familiarity with the National Electric Code and NFPA.
n o Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCADnPreferred:
n o Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View HMI programmingn o Fanuc robot programming or troubleshootingnnn o n o n o Recommended Skills Allen Bradley Factory Automation Equipment Auto Cad Automotive Industry Control Systems Electrical Installation Work Hydraulics Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
