We have a very competitive salary scale that pays higher than most local districts.
Our starting salary for a 1st year teacher with no prior experience is $45,000 and it goes up from there aligned with years of prior experience.

Develop and properly maintain the selection, reviewing, acquisition, processing and maintenance of library resources,
Able to use technology and find ways to integrate it into the classroom in order to increase student learning,
Elementary Education/ Literacy background and/or experience preferred,
Working knowledge of teaching and learning strategies in literacy, writing, and information skill development,
Communicates and collaborates with peers, sharing methodologies, and strategies as well as coordinating lesson topics with other teachers in order to create a coherent curricular design to achieve the overall purposes of the REACH Academy Charter School program,
Manages the classroom in a positive manner and keeps students engaged and on task,
Attends, participates, and engages in team meetings,
Communicates regularly with parents about both positive and negative interactions with students,
Participates in professional development and personal growth opportunities,
Other duties, as assigned by the Head of School.
QualificationsNYS professional teaching certificate or be eligible for reciprocity to include (1) Minimum Bachelor's degree in subject area to be taught, Master's Degree preferred; (2) Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom and commitment to accountability preferred ; (3) Belief in and alignment with REACH Academy Charter School core beliefs and educational philosophy; (4) Valid New York State Certification, except in cases where the Head of School shall make an exception under the terms of this Policy, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
