Transportation Logistics Coordinator

Buffalo, NY Buffalo, NY Full-time Full-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour Queen City Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to be an integral part of our growing company! We want to add an experienced Transportation/Logistics Coordinator to our team.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
Route, setup, and manage all logistics requirements in a 3PL style environment.
This will include using multiple retailer proprietary software, and EDI.
Create pallet labels, BOL's, packing slips, and verify accuracy of all information.
Spot check shipments when loaded to verify accuracy.
Collect all signed paperwork and keep for dispute process.
Invoice in QB and EDI system at time of shipping.
Coordinate raw material shipment requests from Warehouse Manager, back to manufacturing facility.
Ability to call, email, and schedule pickup appointments.
A self-managed individual that will follow up on missed pickups, and document all steps taken to rectify any issues, specifically in a collect booking environment.
Ability to plan and prioritize shipment releases based on due date priority, and coordinate with all facilities on issues that may arise.
Works in collaboration with Logistics Specialist and internal teams to optimize transportation processes and streamline operations.
Prepare and send DSR - (Daily shipping report) to department heads and logistics team.

Qualifications/Skills High School Graduate/GED ; Associate's degree preferred; Strong Knowledge of Quickbooks, EDI and other proprietary software; Microsoft office; Logistics experience required; Excellent Telephone Communication skills; Customer service oriented; Professional demeanor; personable; The ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to effectively manage multiple transportation activities simultaneously.
Previous experience in similar position preferred; Excellent Organizational Skills; Must be able to work independently with the ability to effectively problem solve.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
