Project Manager, Community Development Projects

BASIC FUNCTION:
We are seeking a Project Manager, Community Development Projects, who will Support the Assistant Director for Community Development Projects and the WNY loans and grants project team on primarily City of Buffalo and targeted East Buffalo programs and projects. Manage the administration of economic development incentives (grants and loans) specifically during the funding disbursement process for projects undertaken by businesses and organizations such as municipalities, not-for-profits, and local economic development organizations. WORK PERFORMED:
o Provide day-to-day assistance to the management of a variety of community development and placemaking programs and projects, particularly on the East Side of Buffalo. o General management of a portfolio of 80-100 active grants and loans and grant programs, including review of applications, management of approval and funding process, compiling and reviewing information, negotiating terms, preparing directors approval documents and contracts, presenting projects, and attending off-site meetings. o Communicate with applicants and applicant reps, including telephone, email and in person correspondence. o Ensure that project information is accurate in the web-based Project Tracking System. o Coordinate with internal contacts (Origination, Finance, Design and Construction, Contractor and Supplier Diversity, Legal) in the preparation of board of directors' approval materials, contracts, project status reports, and other documents appropriate for the review/management of projects. o Review requests for disbursement, perform desk audits, work with project attorneys for loan closings, and oversee grant disbursements. o Attend community meetings after regular business hours as needed o Other projects as assigned by the Assistant Director, Community Development and Regional Director.

Salary Range:
From $62328 to $62328 Annually
Minimum Qualification
o College degree or equivalent experience to WNY Region-related operations, Urban Studies. Bachelors preferred. o 5-7 years nonprofit/government/business/institutional experience in economic and community development. o Experience with project development, urban planning, government relations, grant management and administration, financial analysis, public policy o Microsoft Excel and data analysis, strong interpersonal and community engagement skills, effective writing and oral communication skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
