The position is responsible for providing one-on-one and small group coaching and mentoring.
This position works mostly with internal training on various subjects related to developmental disabilities, mandated trainings, leadership development, workforce transformation, supervisor training, policy and procedure training, etc.
Education and
Experience:
HS Diploma with 5 years experience in OPWDD services, including 1 year as trainer or supervisor; Associate Degree with one year of relevant experience in OPWDD services; or Bachelor's Degree and 6 months of similar relevant experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
o Engaging personality with excellent one-on-one and group presentation skills.
o Ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles is required along with knowledge of adult learning principles.
o Excellent verbal/written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
o Requires information search and research skills, analytical and creative problem solving skills, questioning and feedback skills, customer service orientation and commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards, and initiatives.
o Solid project and time management skills, computer competence and the ability to use media effectively o Flexible and open to changing priorities in a busy environment o Capable of organizing information and self-monitoring of completion of responsibilities and duties in a prompt manner.
o Good oral and written communication skills, effective facilitation skills, and word processing and database management knowledge.
o Certified to train others in the area of CPR/First Aid and SCIP or have the ability to become certified to do so.
o Familiar with NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities Rules and Regulations, OSHA Rules and Regulation, and Erie County Department of Mental Health Rules and Regulations related to job duties.
Physical Requirements o Seeing, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, driving, stooping, bending, carrying, stretching, and climbing stairs as well as the ability to perform all required movements required by the SCIP-R curriculum.
o Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
o Exercising independent judgment, concentrating, thinking, communicating, interacting with others, managing multiple tasks and coping with stressful situations and deadlines.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
