Buffalo, NY Buffalo, NY Full-time Full-time $22 - $24 an hour $22 - $24 an hour Our Training Department Manager will foster a continuous learning environment for the Agency while overseeing the New Employee Orientation and compliance training for all employees.
The position is responsible for the design and development of instructor-led, online, blended learning and supplemental training materials that are functional, engaging, informative, and consistent with sound instructional design principles.
This position is responsible for the overall content and delivery of internal training related to developmental disabilities, regulatory training defined under OPWDD, federal and NYS guidelines.
Our Training Department Manager will also be a partner to our DEI Committee by ensuring all training courses are compatible for a diverse workforce while ensuring an equitable and inclusive environment.
Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree and one-year relevant experience OR Associate's Degree and two years of relevant experience.
One year of supervisory experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Be familiar with NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities rules and regulations; Federal and NYS employment and labor laws.
Have basic knowledge of Human Resources best practices.
Demonstrate the ability to take initiative to organize information and complete projects independently, accurately and in a prompt manner.
Have excellent one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills.
Have knowledge and demonstrate the ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles is required along with knowledge of adult learning principles.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
Have ability to research and create appropriate follow-up for evolving industry practices and regulations, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and high-quality output.
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, as well as adaptability to Agency specific software programs.
Have ability to oversee and complete database management.
Use of a personal vehicle for work purposes.
Certifications Must be certified to train others in the area of CPR/First Aid and SCIP or have the ability to become certified to do so.
Physical and Mental Requirements Be fully mobile for long periods including walking, standing, stooping, bending, carrying, stretching, and climbing stairs for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to perform and participate in all movements required within the SCIP-R curriculum.
Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
Exercising independent judgment, concentrating, thinking, communicating, interacting with others, managing multiple tasks and coping with stressful situations and deadlines.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
