Public Information Specialist 2 (Digital Content)

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs is responsible for all internal and external communications for OPWDD. The department is responsible for managing OPWDD's intranet and website, social media pages, external messaging materials (i.e., videos, photos, etc.), and is also responsible for responding to media inquiries including preparing and releasing press releases and agency statements. The Public Information Specialist 2 (Digital Content) will be responsible for performing digital communications duties across a wide variety of social media and digital platforms utilized by OPWDD. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and manage digital and social media marketing initiatives for OPWDD. - Create, review, and edit content for OPWDD's social media platforms. - Research and develop creative ideas to bring awareness to OPWDD services, initiatives, programs, and career opportunities. - Track the performance of digital content including social media, email, and website. - Analyze and utilize metrics to inform best practices and tactics for engagement and audience growth with a sharp understanding of what works on each social media platform. - Utilize Google Analytics to track website performance of specific communication initiatives and campaigns. - Collaborate with Division of Administration to utilize social media as a recruitment tool. - Manage comments and messages received on social media platforms. - Identify, plan, and execute effective content and strategies that accomplish overall communication goals. - Design, organize, and carry out email campaigns through GovDelivery as well as manage email lists. - Train colleagues and staff to use GovDelivery and OPWDD intranet. - Collect and analyze information from stakeholders to ensure the OPWDD website is accessible, user-friendly, and informative.

Salary Range:
From $79325 to $100342 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Non-competitive:
seven years of experience in public relations, social media, and digital communications. Associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, substitutes for two, four, or five years OR Promotion:
one year of experience as a Public Information Specialist 1 (Digital Content).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
