March 20, 2023 The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between three statewide contract consortiums and the WNYRIC staff.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative with BOCES from around the state and will build and maintain relationships with both BOCES staff and vendors.
The candidate will work with both Microsoft SharePoint and Google to maintain sites for the consortium members and external vendors.
The Training Coordinator will assist the Director in the cataloguing and communication around contracts for the three statewide consortiums as well as working to develop and score requests for proposals.
Their duties will also include working to populate participation for instructional technology, media and distance education services as well as record changes for those services from all WNYRIC districts.
The ideal candidate will also have strong customer service skills; the ability to listen and respond to questions, will be able to troubleshoot problems, identify solutions and make connections to address concerns.
Attention to detail, responsiveness, and the ability to meet the needs of our component districts is a priority.
The Training Coordinator will serve the WNYRIC school districts as well BOCES and RICs around the state of NY.
This position will cross train with another Training Coordinator to develop and schedule training for locations around NY state.

General Responsibilities:
The Training Coordinator will serve as a liaison between three statewide consortiums and the WNYRIC staff.
The Training Coordinator will develop and schedule training for locations around NY state.
They will plan, develop and conduct training programs and materials for internal WNYRIC staff for applications used internally including, but not limited to, O365, accessibility, & Google.
The Training Coordinator will assist the Director in the cataloguing and communication around contracts for the three statewide consortiums.
Their duties will also include working to populate participation for instructional technology, media and distance education services as well as recording changes for those services from all WNYRIC districts.
Responsibilities:
1.
Plan, develop and conduct training programs and instructional materials for internal WNYRIC staff.
2.
Populate annual participation forms for instructional technology, media and distance education.
Creates CSLO form for WNYRIC school districts.
3.
Assist the Director in the cataloguing and communication around contracts for the three statewide consortiums.
4.
Records district add/change/drop in participation for instructional technology, media and distance education.
5.
Maintains records and prepares reports for the consortiums.
6.
Acts as a conduit to the statewide consortium members to organize the training for BOCES around the state.
7.
Attends consortium meetings, as invited, to provide information and obtain feedback on general concerns.
8.
Works with the director to develop, release and score requests for proposals.
9.
Maintains current proficiency in the field relating to information technology.
10.
Maintains the Service Directory and the Detailed Service Descriptions each year, with assistance, for content and pricing by the service teams.
11.
Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Job Qualifications Minimum Civil Service
Qualifications:
Must hold permanent status as a Training Coordinator or must have taken most recent Training Coordinator exam, held on January 28, 2023.
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of information technology experience involving the development, coordination and delivery of systems development services, which included on-going tasks in planning, coordinating and conduction of training programs for users of information technology; or:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of information technology experience involving the development, coordination and delivery of systems development services, at least two (2) years of which included on-going tasks in planning, coordinating and conducting of training programs for users of information technology; or:
An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
