Investigate and research customer card disputed transactions, process basic tasks in multiple systems and determines resolution of the dispute.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Complete routine data entry and complete tasks related to the primary investigation of a card dispute.
Respond to or initiate standard requests within the appropriate regulatory timeframes.
Complete mid-complexity level research which include customer and transactional research to make factual case decisions on basic disputes.
Complete routine or standardized exception processing to correct system errors.
Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of
Responsibilities:
The Associate will investigate customer disputed transactions on all card types, Debit & Credit.

Responsibilities:
None Education and Experience Required:
Associate's degree, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years' higher education and/or work experience Education and Experience Preferred:
General understanding of Visa Debit & Credit Cards Familiarity with Regulation E and/or Regulation Z Proficiency with personal computer skills with knowledge of Excel Proven verbal and written communication skills Physical Requirements:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
