Job Description:
The Security officer Supervisor will act as a liaison between customers, Operation Managers and security officers.
Will supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
Supervisor may also manage and/or implement security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents.
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
Valid NYS Security Guard Card (Required).
Must have a reliable means of transportation and Valid Driver's License with no major violations or accidents within the last 24 months.
US work authorization (Required) Must have a reliable means of communication (Cell Phone) Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
5 years of related security experience (Required) Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of the security industry.
Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be mature, responsible and accountable for all actions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
Must be willing to undergo a drug screen and background investigation.
Must be able to verbally communicate clearly with clients, staff, the public and or authorities.
Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently Must be able to traverse in a vehicle between multiple sites.
Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat Must be able to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must not have any physical impairments with Walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed Ability to Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
Duties may include be are Not Limited to:
Overseeing the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of security staff while ensuring that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ensure that all security staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures at all times.
Lead officer must being on time, responsible, able to work independently while ensuring all directions and instructions are followed consistently and thoroughly Respond to client or site emergencies as they arise.
Ensuring appropriate communication to BSI Watch Commander.
Post inspections.
Conduct regular walk-throughs and security inspections for all assigned facilities.
Physical site visits to all post locations on a regular basis to monitor attendance, performance, uniform/appearance and address any issues.
Also communicate policy changes, company information or adjust staffing schedules as needed.
Complete shift reports for each site and working guard.
Monitor Security staff and equipment, documenting any abnormal occurrences on a job site.
Responsible for managing, discipling, training and reporting on staff members working under them as the case may be.
Conduct on the job training for new hires and current staff as needed Provide and/or implements security and security protocols for all assigned facilities and information systems.
Provide specialized security for and monitor access to limited and restricted access areas such as inventory areas, network equipment areas, and employee files and confidential records.
Assist security staff with transportation to and from sites as needed.
Respond to call-offs that occur.
All posts must be mended at all times during a shift.
The Lead Officer will identify other individuals to fill-in and/or standing post until such replacements have arrived.
In the event of an abandoned or open post, Lead Officer is to identify available qualified personnel to fill the post as quickly as possible, however, you may be required to stand post on an as-needed basis for an undefined period of time until you have been relieved or shift time is complete.
