Information Technology Services Intern

ITS End User Services (EUS) group is seeking Student Interns within the Service Desk team to assist in providing quality technology and hardware support under the direct supervision of higher-level staff. Duties include but are not limited the following:
o Using ServiceNow to keep track of tickets throughout its life cycle (update, follow up and resolve to completion). o When required, assist the service desk in the phone queue by answering calls and troubleshooting level 1 support tickets. o Assisting with the deployment of new equipment. o Assisting in imaging machines. o Coordinating shipment of equipment, software installs, collecting information for the equipment inventory, and printer issues.

Salary Range:
From $25.50 to $25.50 Hourly

Qualifications:
o Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State. o Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program. o Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
