The University at Buffalo Police Department seeks aUniversity Police Communications and Security Specialist 1. Police Dispatchers perform a full range of radio and telephone operational duties in this 24-hour facility. This is a 24/7, 365 day a year operation and Police Dispatchers will be required to work all days and shifts as required. Dispatchers are required to:
o Process and prioritize incoming calls for police, fire and EMS assistance. o Provide communication services within the University Police Departments at the campuses of the State University of New York. o Function as a desk officer, dispatcher, and 911 operator. In this capacity, you may be required to operate a variety of communications equipment, including radio receiver and broadcast equipment, telephone equipment, E-Justice terminal equipment or other similar terminal equipment, personal computers, closed circuit television systems and electronic security systems. You must have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title. 2. Reassignment requirement:
You must hold the same title at the University at Buffalo. 3. Reinstatement requirement:

Qualifications:
