Summary:
Perform professional work requiring advanced application and use of concepts, theories, principles, practices, regulations, and terminology of accounting. Analyze and review financial data and prepare financial statements and reports for both internal and external purposes consistent with a comprehensive understanding of Catholic Healthu2019s mission and vision. The Manager of Financial Reporting u2013 Home and Community Based Care will manage the preparation of the financial statements with an advanced understanding of non-profit healthcare in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and Catholic Healthu2019s policies and procedures. Guidelines and procedures are established on a global basis and an advanced level of professional judgment is required. This role will maintain an advanced understanding of revenue cycle including reimbursement methodologies to ensure net patient revenue is accurately reflected on the financial statements. In addition, this role will have an advanced understanding of payroll, supply chain, and accounts payable process to ensure expenses are recorded in the proper period. This position will be directly responsible for the Home and Community Based Ministry which includes the following entities:
McAuley Seton Home Care, Mercy Home Care, Catholic Health Infusion Pharmacy, Father Baker Manor, The McAuley Residence, Our Lady of Victory Renaissance Corporation, Trinity PC, and all applicable legacy organizations (closed entities).This role will be expected to manage transactions and/or initiatives spanning outside of the entities previously identified including the hospital based skilled nursing facilities. The Manager of Financial Reporting u2013 Home and Community Based Care will be responsible for the supervision of accounting functions including monthly closing activities, and preparation of financial statements. In addition, this role will have an active role supporting the development and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets. Provide information and education to the Catholic Health Management Team to assist in departmental oversight of financial operations as needed. This role will be directly involved in annual financial audit, preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, and annual IRS 990 filing. This position is also responsible for converting and analyzing both patient and financial data into information for decision-making, and assisting in the development of financial and statistical analyses. Will also provide analytical support to Ministry Management to assist in profitability analysis, cost/benefit analysis, reimbursement analysis and return on investment as required. As part of the Finance Leadership Team, this role will routinely managing initiatives or programs impacting the entire Health System.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance MBA and/or CPA preferred (CPA required if Bacheloru2019s degree is not Accounting) EXPERIENCE Minimum four (4) years of professional work experience in Finance, public accounting experience preferred Working within Healthcare preferred Working knowledge of US GAAP KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within given deadlines Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Knowledge of PC and spreadsheet-based program required WORKING CONDITIONS ENVIRONMENT Normal heat, light, space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs Some local travel required
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
