The Auditor 2 will oversee all aspects of the Western New York Milk Marketing Order (WNY MMO). This includes calculating and releasing the Advance, component, and uniform milk prices that dealers must pay for the milk they purchase directly from cooperatives and producers in the WNY MMO. Additionally, this incumbent receives, tabulates, and analyzes reports of how the milk received was utilized and audits these records on a routine basis. This position is responsible for the proper administration of this Order, including interpreting complex regulations, and administering public hearings when amendments to the order are proposed, as required. The successful completion of these duties will require occasional travel and overtime. Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Conduct audits of milk dealers and other dairy industry participants. This involves verification of receipt and utilization records and determining appropriate adjustments. 2. Serve as Market Administrator for the WNY MMO. This includes the calculation and announcement of monthly dairy producer pay prices, and the management of the Equalization and Administration funds. These duties are completed in compliance to the Milk Marketing Order Law. 3. Review and compilation of statistical information including, but not limited to, milk production, classification, pricing, utilization, and other miscellaneous data relative to milk and milk products in the WNY MMO.

Salary Range:
From $77770 to $98372 Annually
Minimum Qualification
70.1 Transfer
Qualifications:
One year of permanent, competitive service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Such titles include but are not limited to:
Auditor 2 Corporation Tax, Auditor 2 Employment & Training, or Auditor 2 Municipal.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
