Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Support our manufacturing facilities/plants with financial leadership, insight, and business acumen in support of operational decisions with recommendations based on empirical data and business experience. Develop the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts; P&Ls, balance sheets, and all manufacturing department budgets (headcount and expenses), and plant related capital budgets. Coordinate analysis of the plants' actual and planned performance to achieve budgeted/forecasted goals and recommend alternate courses of action to achieve the same. Develop, maintain, and update processes Responsible for standard costs for all items produced at the manufacturing facilities. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close and analysis. Communicate monthly and weekly results through reports, presentations, and organizational meetings. Safeguard plant assets through development and implementation of procedures to ensure that transactions are recorded in accordance with both Corporate policy and GAAP. Summarize the locations exposure for obsolescence by coordinating quarterly review of inventory with the materials management functions. Develop internal accounting reports that appraise management of the plant's activity including coordination of training to ensure management's understanding of compliance. Act as final reviewer for the work produced by accounting staff which support the manufacturing businesses Develop cost estimates for potential new products. May perform other duties as assigned Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. 5 to 10 years of experience as Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment with team leadership experience required. ERP/MRP systems experience required Knowledge of cost accounting, inventories, GAAP, computer systems, and QAD preferred. Required Skills & Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment, including advanced knowledge of Excel Excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work seamlessly as part of a team or independently Highly detail oriented and organized in work Ability to meet deadlines Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direction from manager to accomplish objectives Working Conditions:
Candidate/position will be preferably based in our Dunkirk, New York manufacturing facility however we may consider candidates that are able to commute to this location at least 2 days per week; commute could be more often, depending upon business needs. Must be available for local travel to manufacturing facilities as needed.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
