Preside at quasi-judicial or administrative hearings which are of an adversarial or investigative nature concerning the resolution of issues of fact, law and regulatory practice. Conduct hearings, issue subpoenas, and evaluate evidence. Make findings of fact and conclusions of law. Render or recommend decisions. Additional duties will be discussed in greater detail during the interview.

Salary Range:
From $81446 to $102661 Annually
Minimum Qualification
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 52.6 transfer. Admission to the New York State Bar and current registration to practice law in New York State is necessary for continued employment. Disbarment or loss of registration shall result in termination or suspension of employment. This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
